Waterfall Mania

From where the vehicle stops it is about a 15-minute walk through the rain forest to the Emerald Pool.

The pool reflects the greenery of the surrounding vegetation, hence the name Emerald Pool

Good, there is more to come. ,p> now we drive to the south east village of Laplaine to challenge the hike/scramble up the river gorge to the Sari Sari falls, our last fall of the day.

This is another of the island's truly beautiful and magnificent waterfalls; it is created by the Sari Sari River.

First we walk through a banana plantation and descend down a steep slope into the river, the hiking is a series of criss crossing the river and scrambling over boulders; lush rainforest flank the ridges as you trudge along.

The pool at the base of the Sari Sari falls is crystal clear and will entreat you to end your day of waterfall mania with another swim in the bosom nature, as it was meant to be.
