In 2006, Scuba Diving exclusive annual report on the best dive destinations in the world today, voted Dominica in the following categories. In the Caribbean/Atlantic, voted in as follows: Top Dive Destinations - # 3 Top Wall Diving - # 5 Top Small Animals- # 1 Top Marine Life - # 1 Healthiest Marine Environment - # 1 Top snorkelling - # 5 And in 2005, Dominica also featured prominently in Scuba Diving Magazine's 2005 Readers' Choice Awards. Dominica was named the best dive destination for seeing Small Animals in the Caribbean/Atlantic. Along with that honor, Dominica was named as one of the top two destinations for marine life and underwater photography and was one of the top three dive destinations overall.
